Rotary vane vacuum pumps create regions of low pressure by moving fluid using a rotating vane assembly in the pumping chamber. When purchased, this Gast 1023 rotary vane pump package includes internal muffler and filter, silencer for quieter operation, thermal protector to protect the motor from overheating and burning out. The parts included aid in the longevity of this product. Rotary vane pumps in low-pressure applications typically require little maintenance and upkeep.
The rugged Gast 1023 Septic Aerator has a tough cast iron housing and sealed bearings providing a low maintenance and durable solution for just about any low pressure application. Common low pressure applications include refrigeration, air conditioning, and many more.

Does the 1023 unit come with the cooling fan? Also I understand they can be 230 or 120 volt. If I was to order one, can it be sent 120?
They come as 120 and no the 1023has no cooling fan, and we have not seen it give an advantage in the smaller pumps as far as longevity.
